Welcome to Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge

We are offering an opt-in at check-in for a light stayover service that consists of removing garbage, changing towels and replenishing bathroom amenities and coffee supplies.

Should you change your decision during your say, please notify front desk before 1 p.m. with your room number.

In-room Heating
Each room is equipped with an individual thermostat in the entry area. Please allow time for temperature adjustments before notifying the Front Desk of an issue. One screened window in each room opens for fresh air.

Messages
Each room has its own voice mail. A red light indicates a message is recorded on that system. To access your voice mail, dial 6500. Please use the phone located on the nightstand to retrieve messages.

Wake-up Calls
The AM/FM radio in your room is equipped with an alarm. If you need assistance or would like a wakeup call, please contact the Front Desk. Guest staying in March and April can schedule request a special wakeup call for northern lights.

Safety Deposit Boxes
Complimentary Safety Deposit Boxes for your valuables are available at the Front Desk. Under State Law, the Lodge is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed articles unless they have been properly secured in these boxes.

The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge is a non-smoking establishment. For your convenience we have provided receptacles located outside of the East Wing and West Wing exits as well as throughout the Guest Lodges. There is a $250.00 fine for smoking in your room.

Dogs are permitted for a nominal nightly fee and with a signed pet policy that must be completed at front desk at check-in.

Ice and/or vending machines are located:

• On the first floor of the West Wing across from Room 113.
• On the first, second and third floors of the East Wing across from Room 145, 245 and 343 respectively.
• On the side of the Denali Building (500's) and the McKinley Building (700's).

Coin operated laundry facilities are located:

• On the third floor of the East Wing across from Room 343.
• On the first floor of the West Wing across from Room 113

Some vending machines are stocked with laundry soap, bleach and dryer sheets. Change is available at the Front Desks and coin change machines are located in the laundry facilities. Please do not leave laundry unattended. Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge is not responsible for laundry that is left unattended.

A business center with computers with high speed internet access is available in the Reading Lobby for your convenience. Wireless access is also available throughout the Main Lodge.

The nearest ATM is located in the Great Room lobby next to the Tokosha Gift Shop.

The fitness room is located on the first floor of the East Wing and is outfitted with cardio equipment. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Exercise at your own risk and please limit workouts to a maximum of 30 minutes.

Named after the mountains at the base of Denali, Tokosha Gift Shop offers a unique selection of authentic Alaskan souvenirs, lodge wear and more. Visit the friendly and knowledgeable staff to find that perfect gift or memento to remember your time in Talkeetna.

Box Breakfast or Lunch
Planning an adventure in Talkeetna? Pre-order a box breakfast or lunch to go. Visit Mt. Hunter Coffee Co., Base Camp Bistro or Front Desk for a menu and order form. Must order by 9 p.m. the day before.

Located in the Main lobby, our espresso bar offers a selection of hot and iced espresso drinks, brewed from locally roasted ground beans, grab-and-go meal options and more.

Base Camp Bistro
Take in an Alaskan summer day in all its beauty from our full-service deck. Thid family-friendly bistro has a spectacular view of Denali, while offering down-home favorites including tasty appetizers, mains and salads.

Foraker Restaurant
Offering an exquisite menu with a dash of elegance, Foraker has the perfect setting for a dining experience while taking in panoramic views of Denali and the Alaska Range.

There are a variety of restaurants, pubs & bars in downtown Talkeetna. For hearty dishes with a taste of Alaska with outdoor seating, try Homestead Kitchen on Main street.

For assistance with baggage, please contact the Front Desk. Guests taking a day tour may leave luggage with our Bell Staff. For luggage service to the train depot, please contact the Front Desk. If you are traveling independently and are departing on the morning train please check your bags with the bell staff no later than 9 a.m. If you are departing on the afternoon train please check your bags with the bell staff no later than 11 a.m.

You may charge expenses at the lodge to your room for payment upon checkout if you have a deposit or credit card on file with the Front Desk. We accept American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa.

Your key has been programmed to expire on the day of your departure. In addition to opening your room, your key will open outside doors. For added security, please use the deadbolt when in your room.

Our Front Desk and Housekeeping department maintain a record of items found in the lodge. Contact the Front Desk for any missing items. All items will be kept for 90 days, then donated to charity.

The Lodge provides a continuous shuttle service to downtown Talkeetna.

Shuttles depart from the main entrance of the Lodge every 30 minutes on the hour (:00) and half-hour (:30) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Shuttles return to the Lodge from downtown every 30 minutes (:15 and :45) with the last pickup in town at 8:45 p.m.

During train times we also provide transportation to and from the Railroad Depot. In addition to our main shuttle we provide transportation between the Main Lodge and the Guest Lodges upon request.

Mail is taken to the post office from the Front Desk on a daily basis and will be postmarked in Talkeetna. Note cards, post cards and stamps are available at the Tokosha Gift Shop.
