Wildlife, serenity, hiking, solitude, big mountains—want to see, do, feel and experience all that Denali has to offer in a limited time? We present the ultimate three-day Denali adventure.

Three days will get you deep into the heart of Denali National Park in a way that is much more enriching than a quick day visit. You'll have time—and space—to soak in the grandeur and the vastness of Alaska's most iconic national park. Three days in Denali is just good for the soul!

Day One: Getting to Denali

Your pleasant morning ride on the Park Connection bus from Anchorage or Talkeetna arrives just in time. At the Denali Train Station, our driver waits to welcome you on board and drive you into the heart of Denali. You'll join other overnight guests heading to the exclusive Denali Backcountry Lodge on a private bus. It's a stunning drive into Kantishna, 92 miles of glory down the Denali Park Road. Keep your eyes peeled for bears, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and—if you're particularly lucky—amazing views of the mighty Denali itself. The driver provides fascinating commentary and somehow manages to spot wildlife from behind her head. She's truly a pro with a deep passion for this incredible place! There'll be a few stops en route to stretch your legs - and loads of time for taking photos and learning more.

You arrive at the lodge just before dinner, with time to settle in to your cabin before supper is served family-style in the main lodge. In the evening, relax by the bubbling Moose Creek under the midnight sun or take in an interpretive talk at our Miner's Day Lodge.

Day Two: Denali Adventure highlights

Today's your day to explore the majestic wonders of Denali. Join a guide for a hike up Quigley Ridge or down to McKinley Bar. In the afternoon, you can squeeze in a visit to Fanny Quigley's cabin to explore the prospector's past of the area. Or book a massage at the Nest Spa. Strong hikers should plan to spend the day hiking up to Camp Ridge or along the Busia Mountain Trail.

The lodge's signature happy hour is a chance to relax, chat with new friends, enjoy a cocktail or beverage and reflect on the adventures of the day. Join your new friends for dinner in the lodge's dining room. In the evening, gather around the open fire to share stories, work on a puzzle or sit by a fire with a good book.

Day Three: Memories from Denali

There's plenty of reason to get up early in Denali. Most importantly, that's when the wildlife is most active. Moose are often seen at Wonder Lake, grizzlies digging in river beds and caribou browsing in bushy areas. Again, you're in superb hands, with a knowledgeable, friendly and highly experienced driver-guide to ensure you get the most out of every single beautiful mile. The drive out of Kantishna is relaxing and inspiring—a few hours to absorb the majesty of this remarkable place. It's a gentle journey back to civilization. You arrive back at the station in time for the mid-day train to Talkeetna and on to Anchorage, relaxed, recharged and inspired by your time in the heart of Denali.
