Safety First is our #1 Core Value

Pursuit's Safety Promise is our commitment to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.

Through this program, we will ensure that everyone feels safe when joining us on the Denali Backcountry Adventure and that this unforgettable destination can continue to make a positive impact on our guests. When you decide to visit us, you can feel confident that you’ve made the right choice.

Enhanced Cleaning Program

  • Increased cleaning protocols have been introduced with CDC-approved cleaners at all shared spaces for Denali Backcountry Adventure. Cleaning of all such spaces will be frequent and thorough.
  • In our buses, we will engage in thorough cleaning after each outing in addition to a deep clean at the start and end of each day.
  • In the Miner’s Day Lodge, all unnecessary touchpoints for our lunch service have been removed.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be accessible throughout the experience.
  • Improved and enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented throughout all staff spaces. Staggered lunch schedules as well as removal of chairs in staff lunch areas have been implemented to promote social distancing among staff.

Rigorous Staff Training

  • We know how important teamwork is to keep our staff, guests and communities safe. All of these distancing and cleaning measures need to be clearly communicated so they can be successfully implemented.
  • Our staff onboarding and training is more rigorous than ever. We are always evolving and improving.
  • Our on-site signage and pre-arrival communications aim to be clear and straight-forward. We aim to ensure both guests and staff support these measures.
  • We have new protocols for guest and staff illness reporting and management to help ensure healthy people stay that way.
  • We are committed to ongoing engagement and collaboration with our industry and governmental partners, ensuring we are aligned in protecting our guests, staff and communities.

Peace of Mind

  • We believe travel makes the world a better place. It creates strong connections in unexpected ways, builds communities and strengthens our understanding and empathy. Now more than ever, it’s time we all work together.
  • As practitioners of exceptional hospitality, we’re committed to inspiring those around us. We value optimism and so we smile and incorporate laughter and joy into our experiences.
  • We believe these remarkable places have the power to heal and inspire. We are grateful to live and work here. We invite guests to join us in experiencing the power of these iconic destinations.

Crowd-Free Comfort

  • Bus capacity will be limited based on local restrictions.
  • We will check-in groups separately to maintain physical distancing.
  • In our public spaces, our guests will see our team helping to ensure we all work together and that everyone flows through the spaces appropriately with physical distancing—particularly at line ups, boarding and disembarking.
  • During lunch, we will seat groups with adequate spacing between others and our staff will serve plated meals. Buffet-style meal services will be suspended until they are safe to resume.
  • Team members will conduct a daily self-check for illness before reporting to work. Any staff member showing signs of illness is to remain home and quarantine. We have also restricted occupancy at staff accommodations.
  • Other transmission-reducing tactics include plexiglass barriers, personal protective equipment for staff and contactless payment option.

Working Together

Our teams are diligently implementing distancing and cleaning initiatives in collaboration with local, state and federal organizations. These initiatives may be adapted based on health recommendations as the global health crisis and recovery evolves.
