Soar high above beautifully blue-carved glaciers and rugged mountain wilderness of the Chugach Mountains just beyond Anchorage’s city limits.
Your adventure departs from Anchorage at the world’s busiest seaplane base. From here, you'll be whisked away on a flight to Knik Glacier within Lake George National Natural Landmark. Stretching 25 miles long and 5 miles wide, Knik Glacier is one of Southcentral Alaska’s biggest and most spectacular mountains of ice.
Towering above Alaska’s largest agricultural region, the Knik River Valley, Knik Glacier's south-facing slope is popular for spotting wildlife such as Dall sheep, moose, black and brown bears, wolves, coyotes, foxes, beavers, and more.
In Anchorage, go west on International Airport Road West. Take the North Terminal exit at Postmark Drive, then take the first right onto Heliport (a very short road-- follow the signs for the Alaska Aviation Museum). At the first stop sign, turn right onto Aircraft Drive. Rust’s Flying Service is on the left (Look for the big hangar, the office is tucked behind it)
