Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge on Fox Island
Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge is located on beautiful and remote Fox Island. Your overnight adventure begins with a 45-minute boat ride out of Seward
aboard a Kenai Fjords Tours
wildlife and glacier cruise.
Upon arrival on Fox Island you will be met by a representative and escorted down the beach to the Kenai Fjords Wilderness Lodge. After a brief orientation you will enjoy lunch, taking in the awe-inspiring view provided by the immense windows surrounding the dining room overlooking gorgeous Halibut Cove, where sea lions and humpback whales occasionally make surprise visits.
After lunch make your way to one of our eight clean and spacious private cabins. Your waterfront guest cabin is heated, and comfortably accommodates a family of four. Lighting is powered by solar panels, but you won’t find a telephone, television or radio to interrupt this peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.
Fox Island is a world away from the ordinary. Marine wildlife is abundant, and guests commonly see Steller sea lions, whales, and an endless variety of seabirds that include eagles, puffins, cormorants, and murres. There are many things to do, either on your own or with a guide, and your time on Fox Island can be as relaxing or adventurous as you desire.
The Wilderness Lodge is your special place to gather, share meals or relax in the lounge with a good book and glass of wine. Guests come here to enjoy innovative meals, included in your stay, that are infused with seasonal ingredients found in Alaska
and around the Pacific Northwest.
